Police: Shooting victim expected to survive

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police say the latest victim of gun violence in the city is expected to survive the shooting, after undergoing emergency surgery on Tuesday.

Tristian James, 34, remains in extremely critical condition in the hospital after being shot multiple times while standing on the sidewalk on the 1600 block of West Onondaga Street.

Witnesses told police they saw an older model four door vehicle speed away after the shooting.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them at (315) 442-5222.
