WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- Based at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fireball Run is billed as an epic American adventure-rally. And this year's run will be making a stop in Watertown.
Crews from the Fireball Run were back in the North Country Friday to introduce three local teams that will be taking part. The run will feature 40 teams as they go head to head in various competitions in 15 cities over eight days. The race also puts the spotlight on missing children.
Teams pass our posters and even have stickers of missing children on their cars.
The local teams will represent three such children: Aadam and Azora Hoffman of Buffalo and Qua'mere of Syracuse.
"The fact that we travel from region to region and have so much media exposure, missing children seemed to be the natural cause to support. We've had fantastic success with it," said Fireball Run Executive Vice President David Hickman.
Fireball Run says it has played a part in the recovery of 38 missing children.
The run will be coming through Watertown on Tuesday, September 25th.
