SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Hundreds of women brought their gift of singing to Syracuse for the Sweet Adeline Regional Convention.
Many of those members were showcasing their talents inside the lobby of the Civic Center Friday for the public to enjoy.
Region 16 of the International Sweet Adeline Organization consists of 33 choruses and 54 quartets and they come from Eastern Canada and Northern New York.
"We come from all over. We got 1,250 women here this week. And it's an opportunity to get together, sing together and get the joy spread around the city because we love to do it," said J.D. Crowe, regional convention chair.
If you'd like to hear more, the groups will sing at the Crouse-Hinds Theater on Sunday and Monday. They're competing for a chance to represent the region at the 2013 International Convention in Hawaii.
