ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Onondaga County Sheriff's office is investigating after shots were fired at a hotel in the Town of Salina.

Deputies say a fight started at the United Inn on Buckley Road around midnight Saturday. A 16th birthday party was being held at the hotel. Relatives asked some uninvited guests to leave, sparking the dispute.

Investigators say a guest was hit with a chair and a shot was fired into the ceiling, causing everyone to run from the hotel.

One person had minor injuries after tripping while running out.

According to deputies, several other shots were fired in the parking lot and they have recovered a shotgun and rounds.

No arrests have been made at this time and investigators are asking anyone with information on the incident to call the sheriff's office at (315) 425-2111.
