ALBANY, N.Y. -- The UAlbany Nanocollege has announced the winner of this week’s business plan competition.

Strong Arm Technologies, a team of students from RIT, took home the grand prize for their design of the strong arm vest, a piece of clothing that helps employees who have to lift heavy items as part of their jobs. They received a $50,000 cash prize, as well as $20,000 of services to support development of their design.

Three other teams took home smaller prizes. Those teams were from Cornell, Clarkson and Syracuse universities.

More than 120 teams competed in the contest, which was a record number of entries.
