VERONA, N.Y. -- Hundreds of guests joined Jim and Juli Boeheim to raise money in the fight against cancer. The annual Basket Ball gala was held at Turning Stone Resort and Casino Saturday night .

This is the 13th year the Boeheims have hosted the gala, and this year, they brought the team along with them. Despite the excitement about the players, Coach Boeheim says most people are truly there for the cause.

"It's just a great event. They know we're giving money to Coaches Vs. Cancer and the kids. And I think everybody wants to do that anyway. But I think they come here because it's a good time," said Syracuse Basketball Coach Jim Boeheim.

There was also an auction to raise money for Coaches versus Cancer where fans could get their hands on Yankees, Giants and of course, SU memorabilia.
