Man arrested under Todeschini Law
ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Westmoreland man has been charged under the Todeschini Law after leading police on a high speed chase in Oneida County.
Police say Antonio Guerrero-Mendoza, 26, drove head-on at a sheriff's patrol car on Route 233 Sunday morning, forcing the officer off the road. That started a chase with speeds topping 100 miles per hour.
The pursuit finally ended when Guerrero-Mendoza pulled into his own driveway and tried to go in his house. He was arrested on the spot, as was a passenger in the vehicle.
Guerrero-Mendoza is now facing numerous charges, including aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol level over .18.
