SCHROEPPEL, N.Y. -- A motorcyclist is in the hospital after a crash on Route 57 in Schroeppel.

Police said the driver of a car pulled over on the shoulder of the road to let other cars pass. But as she went to re-enter the roadway, a motorcycle hit the driver's side door.

The biker, Parker Farley, 22, of Oswego, was seriously hurt and taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.

The driver of the car was not injured.

There is no word yet on whether any tickets will be issued.
