WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- The woman who was killed after falling out of a vehicle on Mill Street in Watertown Sunday may have been hit by the vehicle in the process.

Watertown Police are still investigating how Angela Perdue, 24, wound up on the side of the road on Mill Street. She had been riding with John Preston, 24, of Tennessee, when she somehow exited the SUV.

According to the police report, Perdue was likely struck by the vehicle and may have been dragged in the process.

She was pronounced dead at the scene when emergency responders arrived. Police are still investigating, but no charges have been filed at this time.
