FORT DRUM, N.Y. -- The men and women on Fort Drum got to kick back and enjoy music from the Lieutenant Dan Band Sunday evening. Actor and musician Gary Sinise brought his band to the McGrath Gym for a free concert for all active military members and their families.

The band has been entertaining soldiers at military bases all over the world since 2004, and Sinise says it's something he just loves to do.

"Now that I've done it so much and been to so many places, I know it makes a difference when we show up at a place like here at Fort Drum, or even overseas or wherever we go. It just that there's a lot of people who are stressed in the military right now and have been working very hard so any little giveback that we can give to them it's a good feeling to be able to do that," Sinise said.

The concert was part of the GM Military Discount Tour.
