Police seek man who stole wallets from purses

ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- North Syracuse Police are trying to identify a man who was caught on tape stealing women's wallets. Police say the first incident happened on February 10th at Wal-Mart in the Town of Cicero. They say the suspect in these photos stole a wallet from a woman's purse and was seen on a security camera using the stolen credit cards before boarding a Centro Bus.

On March 27th, police responded to the same Wal-Mart store after another wallet was stolen from a woman's purse. The security camera shows a man reaching into the victim's purse and taking her wallet. The suspect then used the stolen credit cards and was seen leaving in a dark-colored, four-door vehicle.

If anyone recognizes the man in the photos, they're asked to call police at (315) 455-2922.
