UTICA, N.Y. -- The state trooper accused of breaking into a South Utica home and assaulting the owner was indicted by a Grand Jury Wednesday.
Jesse Miller faces nearly a dozen counts, including assault, criminal mischief and trespassing in connection with the New Year's Day incident. Police said Miller forced his way into a home on Beverly Place and assaulted the homeowner.
Miller was off duty at the time of the incident and was suspended during the course of the investigation.
Miller is scheduled to appear in court again next Wednesday for his arraignment.
