ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The mother of four who is accused of setting the house fire her children died in has been indicted on murder charges.
A Monroe County Grand Jury found enough evidence to indict 31-year-old Bobbie Kugler on four counts of second-degree murder, four counts of manslaughter, three counts of assault and one count of arson. In court paperwork, Kugler admitted to police that she started the fire.
Kugler was accused of starting the fire in her Grape Street home in February. Investigators said Kugler lit pictures of her boyfriend on fire and then threw them onto a dresser filled with combustible materials.
Fire investigators said the fire started in a first floor bedroom and burned so quickly that firefighters could not enter the home to even attempt to rescue the children.
Gage Reavey, 14, Greg Kugler, 13, Kandee Kugler, 12, and Kaiden Kugler, 6, died in the fire. The fire also injured three others inside the house.
If convicted, Kugler could face up to 100 years in prison.
