BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Lourdes Hospital says two electrical contractors were injured on the job Wednesday afternoon.

The hospital says one electrical contractor was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester with burn injuries following an incident that occurred around 4 p.m.

His condition is not known at this time.

Another contractor was treated at Lourdes for injuries, and was later released.

A portion of Riverside Drive had to be shut down to make way for the helicopter, which landed in the hospital parking lot.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is continuing.
