Manlius man killed in drag racing crash in Michigan
MICHIGAN -- A drag racer from Manlius was killed over the weekend in a crash at a track in western Michigan. Dan Cerio, 22, was racing a modified snowmobile in the Aeroquip Outlaw Sled Series Saturday night.
Track officials said it was during eliminations that he hit a retaining wall going about 170 miles per hour. Cerio was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead.
He was a 2008 graduate of Fayetteville Manlius High School.
