ELMIRA, N.Y. -- The man involved in a police standoff in Elmira last summer is headed to prison.

Michael Decker was found guilty of third degree attempted arson for the incident back in June when Decker threw bottles at officers who were trying to take him into custody and then barricaded himself inside someone else's home on Pearl Place. His case went to trial, but the facts of the case were agreed upon by the prosecution and defense as part of an agreement.

Decker is expected to serve three-and-a-half to seven years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for next month.
