BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Binghamton High School hosted some international visitors Monday. Two educators from Puebla, Mexico visited the school to study its International Baccalaureate Career Certificate Program.

The program is a two-year course of study which combines career training with an education in global issues. The Mexican visitors were observing the program to learn its benefits and decide if whether want to implement it at their school.

"We were wondering whether implementing the IBBC program in our own school would be worthwhile, but looking at the students, that gives us a very good idea of what might come out of this," said Lucila Sotomayor y Pina.

Binghamton High School is one of a small number of schools in the world to offer an International Baccalaureate curriculum.
