ALBANY, N.Y. -- President Obama will be visiting the Capital Region today. The president is scheduled to visit UAlbany's Nanotech Complex instead of GlobalFoundries in Malta, as originally planned. Officials said the change of plans was partly because of the amount of available parking, but was also influenced by the location's distance from the Albany airport.
President Obama's visit will highlight the region's manufacturing and technology industries. This will be his third visit to the Capitol Region since taking office.
