Paving project in Ithaca

ITHACA, N.Y. -- We have a traffic alert for you. The DOT will begin a three day paving operation in Ithaca either Wednesday or Thursday, depending on the weather.

Expect a number of lane restriction and delays if you’re passing through downtown.

On day one crews will begin paving Green Street.

On day two, the fork at State and Seneca Streets will be paved. Officials are expecting significant backups and a possible closure of up to half an hour.

On day three, more lane restrictions and delays as Seneca Street gets paved up to Cayuga Street.

City officials are reminding everyone to allocate some extra driving time and to follow all posted rules.
