Two women hospitalized following Van Buren crash

ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- State Police are continuing to investigate a crash in Van Buren that sent two women to the hospital. Police said Rhonda Farrar, 42, of Fulton hit Nellie Morrell, 81, of Memphis head-on along State Route 31. It happened around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Both drivers had to be pulled out of their vehicles, and were taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse. Morrell broke her neck, both legs, forearm, and several ribs, and is listed in critical condition. Farrar is listed in serious condition with a broken foot.
