Auburn company expanding, creating 50 new jobs

CAYUGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Cayuga County company is expanding with the help of nearly $2 million in state grants and tax credits. Currier Plastics Incorporated plans to nearly double the size of its manufacturing operations in Auburn, creating 50 new jobs over the next five years.

The company received $1 million in Excelsior tax credits and a $750,000 grant from Empire State Development. In addition to that money, they plan to invest almost $21 million to build a 55,000 square foot manufacturing and storage facility.

Another $12.5 million will be spent on new machinery and equipment over the next five years.
