SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- For the tenth year, the community is coming together for Syracuse's annual Duck Race to End Racism. Students and businesses around the area participate by painting and decorating ducks to participate in the race.

In addition to the Duck Race, there will be a free family festival for community members. The event will feature entertainment for families, games, face painting, information booths and free Byrne Dairy ice cream.

Organizers of the annual Duck Race to End Racism say it's a day to bring the community together for an important reason.

"It's a wonderful awareness about what InterFaith Works does, coupled with the fact that people have a lot of fun. And behind all the fun and the joy and everything is, of course, some of the problems that go on in our community that InterFaith Works addresses," said Charles Beach, President of InterFaith Works.

The Duck Race is being held June 9th in Syracuse's Inner Harbor from noon to 4 p.m. You can contribute to the race by purchasing a $5 ticket
