BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Saying there was no rhyme or reason to his decision and it was simply a gut feeling to leave, outgoing Binghamton Senators head coach Kurt Kleinendorst thanked the Ottawa organization and the Binghamton community during a farewell press conference on Wednesday.

Kleinendorst had an eventful two seasons on Binghamton's bench, leading the franchise to its first Calder Cup championship then suffering through the worst record in the AHL. He said he loved his time with the B-Sens and could not give a specific reason for not wanting to sign a new contract, even admitting it was a risky gamble as he does not have another job or even an interview lined up. But Kleinendorst says that is the way he has always operated and he is confident something will work out somewhere.
