SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police investigate a shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

Police say Joshua Scott,23, was shot in the thigh around 8 p.m. Saturday on South Avenue near Rockland Avenue.

According to investigators, Scott called 911 before getting a ride in a private vehicle to Community General Hospital.

His injuries are considered to be non-life-threatening.
