GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - The Onondaga Community College men's lacrosse team continued its dominance of the junior college landscape on Sunday by beating Nassau Community College 15-6 for a fourth-straight NJCAA championship and second-straight perfect season.
The Lazers have now won six of the last seven national titles and have gone undefeated in four of those seasons. The program is now 120-4 over the past seven years.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Morgan Corso scored a game-tying goal with 2:03 remaining then scored the winning goal with three seconds left to give the Onondaga Community College women's lacrosse team a 6-5 win and a second NJCAA title over archrival Monroe Community College on Sunday.
This was the third time in OCC's four years of existence it played in the national final and Monroe has been the opponent all three times. The Lazers end the season 14-2 and avenged both of those losses--one to Nassau Community College and the other a double-overtime defeat to Monroe in the Region III championship game--in the national tournament.
