CHEMUNG COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two people were seriously injured in a crash in Chemung County Sunday night.

Authorities say a motorcycle traveling north on State Route 328 in Southport collided with an oncoming car that was trying to make a turn into Smokin' Joe's parking lot.

Both the driver and the passenger of the motorcycle were hospitalized after being ejected. They have been identified as John Olson and Kari Massie of Mansfield, Pennsylvania.

Police say neither Olson or Massie were wearing helmets at the time.

The driver of the car, Raymond Stermer III, 21, of Elmira, was not injured in the crash.
