CHEMUNG COUNTY, N.Y. -- A new reconstruction project is underway on Route 17 in Chemung County.

The Route 17 westbound off-ramp at Exit 58 is now closed for the next three weeks.

The alternate route for Lowman Wellsburg traffic will be via Exit 19 to State Route 427 West.

The State Route 17 westbound Chemung County Landfill access will also be closed for reconstruction starting next Wednesday, May 23. That closure is expected to last two weeks. The alternate route will be Exit 59 to County Route 60 westbound.
