UNITED STATES -- Through all the twists and turns of the Bernie Fine scandal, the Fine family has remained silent up to this point. But later this week, we may hear from one of the major players in the case, Laurie Fine.

The wife of the former assistant SU basketball coach has announced plans to hold a news conference on Wednesday. She's expected to discuss accusations she calls scandalous lies made by alleged victim Bobby Davis and others.

It was a tape recording of a phone conversation between Laurie Fine and Bobby Davis that blew open the case against her husband. SU announced his firing within hours of the tape's release by ESPN and later on, other allegations would surface about both Bernie and Laurie Fine.

Wednesday's news conference is expected to take place at 11 a.m.
