WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- The Thompson Park Zoo in Watertown is introducing yet another new baby to its animal family. This time, it’s a baby otter, who was born in late February.

The baby otter's name is Molly. She was born on February 26th.

Molly is a river otter who will be the third otter in the zoo's Otter Creek exhibit.

In the wild, river otters can survive up to nine years, but in captivity, they can live to be 25.

The zoo says Molly is incredibly mobile and can sometimes get very loud.

Molly is not yet in the exhibit. The zoo says that can happen once the mother and zoo staff feels she is ready. But like the zoo's other babies, you can follow their progress on the zoo's website and Facebook page.
