ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- A woman was airlifted to a Syracuse hospital Tuesday following a two car crash in St. Lawrence County.

State Police say Kendra Young, 24, of Heuvelton, was rear-ended by Jill Doyle, 34, of Ogdensburg, while trying to make a left hand turn on Route 37.

Young was flown to Upstate University Hospital for head and abdomen pain.

Doyle was treated and released from the scene. She was ticketed for following too closely.

Route 37 was closed for about an hour while police investigated the crash.
