ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Canton man has been found guilty of sexually abusing two young girls. Richard Thornton was convicted on four counts, including predatory sexual assault, sexual conduct against a child, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Thornton was charged in 2010 after court documents show he sexually assaulted two young girls multiple times over an eight year time period. Both children were under the age of 11 when the assaults began.

Thornton faces a minimum of 25 years to life in prison.
