WATERLOO, N.Y. -- State Police in Waterloo are investigating a hit and run that killed one person. It happened just after midnight in the eastbound lane of State Route 5 and 20, between Brewer and Packwood roads.

Police said a dark colored pickup truck, possibly a Ford, was seen in the area at the time of the incident. They're not sure if that vehicle was involved or not, but the vehicle should have front end damage.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
