Ammonia leak at Chobani plant sends two people to the hospital
CHENANGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Chobani yogurt plant in New Berlin had to be evacuated Monday morning. Employees were relocated after an ammonia leak was detected just after nine.
The leak was found in a chill tunnel.
Chobani says the leak was caused by an error made by a contractor while working on an AC line.
Two workers were taken to the hospital as a precaution, but were later released.
