SENECA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a plane crash in Seneca County. According to the Sheriff's Office, a single engine bi-plane made a crash landing in a field in the Town of Tyre.

The 68-year-old pilot, Vaughn Grasso, of Florida, suffered a laceration to the back of his head but was able to be treated at the scene. He told deputies that he suddenly lost power during the flight and had to make the emergency landing.

The FAA is continuing to investigate.
