SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A Slate Hill Constructors employee was taken to the hospital Monday after falling off a ladder underneath an Interstate 690 overpass bridge in Syracuse.

Officials say Jim Hurst, 52, was measuring beams beneath the bridge on North Crouse Avenue when he fell about 20 feet. He is being treated Upstate University Hospital for an arm and leg injury, but those injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
