SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A Syracuse man who was attacked by a pit bull is still in the hospital in serious condition. Police said Joseph Cregg, 65, was visiting an acquaintance at 314 Putnam Street and entered an enclosed porch on the home when he was attacked by a pit bull.

Cregg was bit on the arm and both legs. He was taken to Upstate University Hospital for treatment.

The owner of the dog, Susan Castle, 51, was arrested for having two unregistered pit bulls. The dog involved in the attack was taken by Animal Control.
