Manlius swan egg suspect arrested for speeding

ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The man accused of destroying the Manlius swan eggs last month has been picked up for driving more than 100 miles per hour. State Police said Ross Leone, 23, of Jamesville was traveling 109 miles per hour on Route 91 in LaFayette around 11 p.m. Monday. The posted speed limit there is 55 MPH.

State Police said Leone was also driving with a conditional license due to a pending DWI charge.

Leone is also accused of destroying the Manlius swan eggs last month. He now faces additional charges of speeding, reckless driving, and operating in violation of a conditional license.
