Two men arrested for growing marijuana
BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- Broome County Sheriff's deputies seized dozens of marijuana plants in the Town of Chenango.
A man living on Water Street called authorities Wednesday and said he was chasing two people who were growing marijuana on his property. Deputies say during the chase, the men were throwing items that included a bag of pot and cultivation tools. The landowner lost the two in the woods and patrol officers picked them up walking on nearby Brooks Road.
A search of the area where they were first spotted uncovered 30 to 40 marijuana plants.
David Homza, 41, of Kirkwood, and Paul Hahn, 32, of Binghamton, have been charged with unlawful cultivation, unlawful possession, trespassing and littering.
