ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- With the temperatures climbing into the 80s this week, some local beaches are opening early to give people some relief from the heat.

Oneida Shores in Brewerton and Jamesville Beach will both open Friday at 11 a.m. through Memorial Day. After that, they will be open weekends from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through June 17th. Starting on June 18th, the beaches will start their typical schedule.

Admission for the beaches is $6 Fridays through Sundays and holidays, and $4 Mondays through Thursdays. You can buy a season beach pass for $31.50 to use at both beaches throughout the season.
