Police arrest man after child falls out third-story window
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A Syracuse man is arrested after police say they found a child lying in an alley in the city.
Police said they located the 3-year-old boy between 124 and 132 West Castle Street just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
An investigation revealed the child lives in a third-story apartment at 124 West Castle Street. Police said the child was playing in a bedroom with another sibling when he fell out of an open window.
The boy was transported to Upstate University Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The child's father, James Rapholz, 22, was home at the time of the incident, but says he didn't know his child fell. Rapholz was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
