SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- YNN takes home first place, along with three special mentions at this year's New York State Associated Press Awards.

Photographer Jim Gibbons won first place for general excellence in photojournalism.
While Brian Dwyer got a special mention nod for general excellence in individual reporting.

YNN.com also received a special mention.

As did our Documentary "Force on Force," which took a look at the training 10th Mountain Division soldiers go through down in Louisiana before being deployed to Afghanistan.

Brian Dwyer and Executive Producer Curtis Jetter were honored for their work on that project.
