Two NYC men arrested on drug charges
JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Jefferson County drug bust got 89 bags of crack cocaine and thousands of dollars in cash off the streets.
On Saturday, the Metro-Jefferson Drug Task Force, along with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department and Watertown City Police, raided the Rainbow Motel on State Route 12 in the Town of Pamelia. The drugs alone were valued at well over $4,000. About $7,000 in cash and several debit cards were also found in two different hotel rooms.
Arrested were Rondal Byrd, 24, of New York City, and Raymond Clarida, 32, also of New York City. Both were charged with felony intent to sell and are in Jefferson County Jail on $25,000 bail. Police say the investigation is not over.
