CICERO, NY - The J-D boys lacrosse team's run at a third straight NYS Class B title ended in the state semifinals Wednesday night with Irondequoit's 8-5 upset victory at Cicero-North Syracuse high school.
The Red Rams (16-4) scored the game's first two goals but the Eagles scored six straight goals after that and held J-D scoreless for more than 30 minutes of game time.
Irondequoit (19-2) avenges consecutive losses to the Rams in the last two NYS final fours and advances into the Class B state title game Saturday in Middletown.
