ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A few months ago, we introduced you to 25-year-old Adam Dailey of Baldwinsville. He was paralyzed from the waist down after a skiing accident. After months in the hospital, he began a rigorous physical therapy plan that focused on building upper body strength.

Dailey recently returned from a two month intensive program in Florida that worked his whole body. The goal of Project Walk is to help spinal cord patients get back on their feet, build lower body strength and re-train their nervous system. But the cost is $100 per hour and it's not covered by insurance. That's why friends of Adam Dailey have organized a benefit in his honor, so he can continue the therapy that he says will help him to one day walk again.

"It gets me up. It gets me moving around. It gets the blood flowing again. And basically, when I had the accident, within a matter of seconds, my brain forgot how to do everything, so I have to retrain everything in order to get to where I want to be," said Dailey.

The benefit will be this Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Sharkey's Sports Bar in Liverpool.
