SYRACUSE, N.Y. - In a game which seemed similar to a home run derby, the Chiefs hit a longball in three consecutive innings capped by a grand slam from Corey Brown to power their way to a 7-3 win over Louisville on Friday.

Carlos Rivero and starting pitcher Mitch Atkins also went deep with a solo shot each, with Atkins' blast marking the first for a Chiefs pitcher since 1975. Brown's home run was his team-leading 15th of the year and the eighth in his last 13 games.

Syracuse, which took four of five in the series, next hosts a four-game set with Lehigh Valley starting Saturday night.
