West Nile virus found in mosquito trapped in Cicero
ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Onondaga County has its first reported case of the West Nile virus this year. It was found in a mosquito pool collected at the Route 298 trap in the Town of Cicero on June 7th.
There have not been any human cases of West Nile in Onondaga County.
The county health commissioner says it is an early finding and is a reminder for the public to take measures to avoid being bitten.
