SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse's Cold Case Squad has made an arrest in a two-and-a-half-year-old homicide.
Aaron Jackson, 22, has been charged with second degree murder for the shooting death of Terrace Hayward. The 37-year-old was shot near the entrance of his apartment on Taft Avenue in December of 2009.
Jackson is already in prison for his involvement in an armed robbery in which he shot at a Syracuse police officer about nine months after Hayward's murder.
In addition to the murder charge, he was also indicted on robbery and weapon possession charges.
The case remains under investigation and police say other suspects may be involved in Hayward's death.
