Man convicted in girlfriend's death arrested again
ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Syracuse man who killed his girlfriend while driving drunk has been arrested again on drunken driving charges. Joseph Bertrand spent time in prison after he was found guilty of manslaughter in 2004.
Police said Bertrand was drunk when he ran over Michele Lozipone with his car after an argument back in December 2003.
Now, authorities say Bertrand was arrested again on June 10th in the Town of Salina. He was charged with two counts of speeding, felony DWI, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
