UTICA, N.Y. -- Police are investigating a suspicious death at a home in North Utica. It happened on Mapledale Avenue around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The victim was found dead of a gunshot wound on the front lawn. Police say a passerby walking a dog is the one who called police.

Authorities are not releasing the man's name and are not saying more on the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
