SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Destiny USA welcomed new stores Thursday as Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th opened its doors. The store opened officially Wednesday night for a charity event where a percentage of the sales went to the Say Yes for Education Program.

Representatives of Destiny USA say the 25,000 square foot store is a great addition to the mall.

BCBG Max Azria also opened Thursday, adding to other stores that have been opening over the past few months.

"So right across we got the Michael Kors great brand, great product, BCBG, Saks Off 5th, Lenox, Hartman and more openings coming in the next six to eight weeks. So we're really excited. It's an exciting time for us," said Rob Schoeneck, General Manager of Carousel and Destiny USA.

Organizers and planners of Destiny USA hand-picked the higher-end outlets, entertainment, and food to go into the new part of the mall, and so far they say their choices have been a hit.
